At People Serving People, families are at the heart of everything we do. In 2024, our team worked hard to create a new strategic plan that redefines our values and centers the voices of our guests. Staff interviewed 94 families to get their perspective on topics like programming, safety and security, family engagement, and more. This endeavor marks a huge step forward in our commitment to centering families in our work.
With this plan, we’ve committed to integrate and improve our structures, systems, policies, and programs while centering the voices of the families that we serve. We will also work to efficiently upgrade our physical spaces to be more welcoming and trauma responsive. Lastly, we will expand our programmatic offerings and policy work, so we can better support multi-generational family stability.
Our new strategic plan comes with changes to our mission, vision, and values. These updates will guide us as we improve our programs and policies while challenging the systems that lead to family homelessness. We’re honored to share them with you now!
